Invite a friend to donate with you!

Sometimes inviting a friend to come along can make a new experience – like donating blood – easier. Or, perhaps you know someone who’s been thinking about donating too.

Either way, invite someone to donate with you and together you’ll save twice as many lives and have twice as much fun!

Step 1: Check with your friend that they’re interested and eligible to donate.

So your friend has the best chance of donating on the day, make sure they:

  • Aren’t under 18 or over 70 years old
  • Haven’t had a tattoo or piercing in the last 4 months
  • Aren’t pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Don’t have a serious heart condition
  • Didn’t live in the UK for a total of 6 months or more between 1 Jan 1980 and 31 Dec 1996

For further details see these eligibility requirements.

Step 2: Fill out your friend’s details below.

They’ll get a text message from us on your behalf asking if they’re interested. If they are, we’ll give them a call to make sure they can donate.

Please only submit names of family, friends or colleagues who you believe would like to donate with you and would be willing to receive communications from us for this purpose.

You and your friend’s privacy is important to us, so:

  • If they do decline, we won’t send any more communications to them and we will delete their details from our system.
