Georgio - needs regular transfusions

Over the course of a year, 5-year old Georgio relies on 24 people to give blood to make sure he stays as healthy as possible.

 

Marnie - spent a year in hospital

Marnie was eleven years old when a tumour was discovered in her left ankle. She spent a year in hospital receiving treatment, including receiving donated red blood cells and platelets.

 

Jai - received blood products for leukaemia treatment

Jai received 25 units of blood and 17 units of platelets across his first year of treatment for lymphoblastic leukaemia alone.

 

Sophia - saved with blood products while in the womb

Sophia's mum, Vanessa, needed a blood product called anti-D when she was pregnant to protect her baby, Sophia, from haemolytic disease of the newborn, or HDN.
