17,000 people visit Travelling exhibition

Travelling Exhibition

More than 17,000 people visited the Blood Service’s Travelling Exhibition which started in Melbourne on 25 February and finished in Ballarat on 15 April.

The red inflatable Dome and white Luna visited 17 locations over 45 days.

The theme of the exhibition was “What Blood Type Are You?” and visitors could find out with a simple and free finger prick test.

Over 8,000 people found out their blood types.

  • 3,784 people found out that they were POPULAR
  • 2,984 are FABULOUS
  • 1,050 BRILLIANT
  • 362 VALUABLE

The blood type tests indicate that a perfect cross section of the country visited the exhibition as the percentage of people who are Os, As, Bs and ABs match the current donor pool percentages.

The Blood Service will be contacting people who were blood type tested in the near future and hope that many of you become regular blood donors, saving three lives every time you give blood.
