Associate Professor Tanya Davison is a psychologist with a research and clinical background in mental health, and a particular interest in designing and evaluating psychological interventions to facilitate positive outcomes for individuals and lead to practice changes within health care systems.
Tanya leads the Donor Research program – a multidisciplinary team of researchers who are investigating ways to improve the recruitment and retention of blood donors, as well as maintain the health and wellbeing of Australians donating blood. This is one of the key research groups internationally in the field of donor research. It has a strong focus on translating research findings to lead to sustained outcomes for blood donors and helps to secure the national blood supply.
Awards and Leadership
Tanya is Associate Professor in the School of Public Health at Swinburne University of Technology, and Adjunct Associate Professor in Design at Monash University. She is also a member of the Donors and Donation Working Party within the International Society for Blood Transfusion. Tanya is regularly invited to present at international meetings and share insights from the Donor Research program.
