Endoscopy - I've had an endoscopy (colonoscopy, gastroscopy and/or flexible sigmoidoscopy). Can I donate?

After an endoscopy (colonoscopy, gastroscopy and/or flexible sigmoidoscopy) where a sample (biopsy) was taken or polyp removed you will need to wait 7 days until donating, unless the procedure was performed overseas. You must also be feeling well after the procedure and any results must be normal. If the procedure was performed overseas, you are not able to donate for 4 months.

If no sample (biopsy) or polyp was taken and you have no ongoing health issues, you need only wait until you have recovered from the procedure (a minimum of 3 days if you've had a colonoscopy).
