The Blood Service Ethics Committee is a Human Research Ethics Committee established and operating in accordance with the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (NHMRC 2007).
Why is ethical review important?
Ethical review helps to protect the welfare, rights, dignity and safety of research participants and researchers. The Blood Service ethics policy is based on that outlined in the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, and all research is conducted in accordance with this document.
