Running On Blood

The Blood Service is kicking off the Running on Blood campaign in the lead up to the 2010 Sydney City2Surf, led by ambassador and friend Glenn Orgias.

After a shark attack in 2009, it took 150 donations to help save Glenn’s life and now he is looking to give back to the community that helped save his life.

The aim is to raise awareness of blood donation, encourage runners to join Team Glenn at the City2Surf and collect pledges to donate blood.

After the overwhelming support in 2009, where we raised nearly 800 pledges, we hope you’ll be ready and raring to support us once again. This year, we‘re hoping to get 1,000 pledges.
