Young blood is flowing freely in The Shire. Miranda schools are out to prove they are the most generous youth donors in NSW, and are right on track to take out the 2010-2011 NSW Vampire Shield.[p][p]
In the past 12 months, more than 1600 blood donations have been made and over 4800 lives saved by this group of dedicated donors.[p][p]
The NSW Vampire Shield a friendly competition between NSW schools to see who can donate the most blood.[p][p]
Special mention goes to Menai High School, Caringbah High School, Gymea High, Sylvania High, Port Hacking and St John Bosco College.[p][p]
