Where is the heart of Queensland...

Bundaberg district has won the 2012 ‘Where is the heart of Queensland’ blood challenge run by the Australian Red Cross Blood Service with 1.17 per cent of residents donating – the highest of all Queensland’s regional areas.

Bundaberg district residents made an impressive 1,152 donations between 19 March and 29 April meaning they had the highest percentage of their population donate as part of the challenge.

The campaign, which pitted ‘town’ against ‘town’, was aimed at finding out which Queensland community was the most giving.

Big hearts in Bundaberg!
